WTF?

Cocktail Lab was born out of the Bourbon and gin soaked minds of Tim Zohn, Devan van Eyck and Ethan Terry as an interactive, educational, annihilated quaffing experience: the antithesis of the deprecating ego-driven evenings we were subjected to by some of SF’s “Bar Chefs” (or whatever ridiculous moniker they’re going by anymore…)

We’re of the notion that we’re all still learning, from that dude at Chili’s to Dale DeGroff.  And experimenting is the best way to go about it, as long as you’ve got the passion.

You can memorize the Savoy Cocktail book and make kumquat bitters and your own custom shaped ice and fizzes out of ostrich eggs or whatever- but if you’re a dick, you’re alienating a whole city full of curious, thirsty creatures who you otherwise might have turned off of rum and Coke forever.

And we aim to do just that…

Cocktail Lab nurtures an experimental spirit for both bartender and imbiber.  It gives us the chance to test our own ideas, and help guide you in yours.  Armed with a stack of ancient cocktail books, equally ancient ingredients, and the environment that allows “slow cocktails” to be appreciated, the evening promises to be enlightening as well as intoxicating.

All that said, if you order a Jäger Bomb, we will make fun of you.
